A great number of opportunities exist for researchers to collaborate with others beyond their borders. Funding opportunities that are not geographically limited exist from national funding agencies, industrial sponsors, and non-profit and not-for-profit organizations. There are even cross-funding opportunities that can be leveraged by collaborating researchers by applying for funding from more than one agency located in some or all of their various jurisdictions.
